Handpicking
As collector’s ourselves we know how important it is to have the opportunity to pick the best models to add to your collection or show string. Because of this, we offer hand picking of your models and special packing to ensure that you receive them in excellent condition. Handpicking is available for most models. Handpicking consists of removing the model from its original box, visually inspecting it to insure live show quality, and repacking in tissue and bubble wrap in original box. We look for authentic coloring, crisp markings and eye details. The cost for this service is $9.00 for each model and is in addition to shipping. It is worth the investment to serious collectors and show exhibitors.We are very selective about the models we ship out, so even if you don’t select the hand picking option, you will still get the best model possible. Hand picking just goes a step further where we try to select models that would make quality show horses. If you do not choose the handpicking option, this does not mean that you will receive a model in poor condition. When choosing the Hand Picking service, please be sure to describe what it is you want us to look for in a model (crisp markings, shading, etc.). Please note that this service is not available on all models depending on availablility or limited nature of the item.
Visual Inspection
With our Visual Inspection option, we will visually inspect the model to make sure that there are no obvious flaws, rubs, rough seams, etc. but the model is NOT removed from the box so we cannot guarantee what the “box side” looks like. By choosing this option, we cannot ensure a live show quality model, but we will try to ensure that the model has no obvious flaws. When ordering, you can specify what you are looking for in a particular model and we will try to find one that fits your request (i.e. darker or lighter shading, heavier dapples, etc.). The cost for this service is $2.00 for each model.
Layaways
We understand how expensive collecting can be when you just have to have that new model so we offer a 60 day layaway plan on orders over $100. Layaway terms are 1/3 down, 1/3 in 30 days, and 1/3 in 60 days. After submitting your order, you will be sent an invoice for your first payment and again in 30 & 60 days. It is your responsibility to submit your payment within 5 days of receiving your invoice. Unpaid layaways will be cancelled if they become more than 60 days behind in scheduled payments. Unpaid or canceled Layaways will be subject to a 25% non-refundable cancellation and restocking fee. PLEASE NOTE: When placing an order for layaway, you must choose your payment method as Layaway. Please note in the Special Instructions box what payment method you want to pay with (ie. check/money order, credit card, Paypal, etc.). We will then send you an invoice for your 1st payment and then again at 30 and 60 days.
Gift Wrapping
If you are purchasing models as a gift, you can choose to have them gift wrapped and sent directly to the recipient. We will include an enclosure card with a personal note from you. Please let us know the occasion so we can choose the appropriate gift wrap. We offer birthday, everyday and Christmas gift wrap and bows. The cost for this service is $5.00 for each model.
Gift Certificates
If you don’t know what to buy for that special someone, how about a gift certificate? We offer them in any amount and will send them directly to the recipient in a greeting card specific to the occasion or to you to give personally.
Consignment Models
The Perfect Pony accepts consignment models. All consigned models must be sold from us so it is your responsibility to get your models to us at your expense (either shipped or delivered personally). We will advertise your models on our website and sell them for you as well as sell them at local model horse shows & sales. You are able to set the price of your models, however, keep in mind that we do charge a 20% consignment fee for each model sold. Consignees will receive payment for any items sold once per month.
