SHIPPING/RETURNS

General Shipping Information

We do our best to provide prompt service and fast shipping.  All in-stock items will be shipped next day except on Friday & Saturday, which will be shipped the following Monday.  For out-of stock or special order items, we will do everything we can to fill your order promptly, but because shipping time will depend greatly on when we receive the items from the manufacturer, please be patient with us when ordering these items.

To avoid shipping delays and additional fees, please make sure to enter your shipping address carefully.  Our shipping carriers charge a re-routing fee if we have to re-route a package due to an incorrect or incomplete delivery address.  This fee will be passed on to you and you will also be responsible for additional shipping charges to have your order shipped to you again, so please double check before submitting your orders.  We will notify you by email if this situation occurs.

Shipping charges of a customer refusing shipment and merchandise being returned to The Perfect Pony will be the responsibility of the customer.

Orders cancelled prior to shipping will be assessed a 5% processing fee to cover the cost of preparing and processing.

Flat Rate Shipping

The Perfect Pony offers a flat rate shipping charge on all Domestic orders regardless of the order amount.  Items will be shipped by USPS or UPS.  Does not apply to International or Express shipping services.   Shipping charges will automatically be calculated at checkout.

USPS Parcel Post Shipping
We offer a flat rate shipping charge on all Domestic orders.  All orders of $13.95 or less will ship for $6.95 regardless of where it ships to and orders of $13.96 or more will ship for $10.95 regardless of where it ships to.  All orders will ship Parcel Post unless otherwise requested and an additional charge will be applied to the order for Priority shipping.  Parcel Post can take up to 6-10 days for you to receive your order.  Parcel Post shipments can be delivered to PO Boxes.

USPS Priority Mail
We do offer Priority shipping for an additional cost.  Flat rate shipping charges DO NOT apply to Priority shipping services as it is much more expensive than Parcel Post.   Priority Mail is more expensive but it is faster. Orders are usually received within 2-3 business day and can be delivered to PO Boxes.  Just send us an email if this is the preferred shipping method.

UPS Shipping
We do offer shipping via United Parcel Service (UPS) upon request.  The closest UPS drop station is about 40 minutes from us so we prefer to ship UPSP but can ship UPS if needed.  Just send us an email if this is the preferred shipping method.   UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes so please be sure to provide us with a street address.  UPS will not ship/deliver during major holidays, on Saturdays or Sundays.

Express Shipping
We do not offer Express shipping service on a normal basis because they are VERY expensive, but if you absolutely have to use this type of service, please email us at customerservice@theperfectpony.net with your complete mailing address and we can give you a shipping quote. 

International Shipping
We do ship internationally. Click here for a list of shipping rates by country.  If you don't see your country listed, please email us for a quote and we will also add your country to our shipping rate table. Sorry, but Flat Rate shipping discount does not apply to international shipping service.

Shipping to APO/FPO addresses
We do ship to APO/FPO addresses.  Just place your order as you normally would and we'll get it mailed as soon as possible.

Local Pickup
We are an online retailer, but if you would like to pick up your order locally, please contact us for arrangements so that we can have your order pulled and ready for your arrival.


Returns

Our goal is for you to be 100% completely satisfied with your order.  If you are not satisfied with an item for any reason, you may return your purchase within 10 days of the original purchase date.

Returns must be authorized by The Perfect Pony before returning an item.  Returns shipped to us without an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization number) will not be processed.  Please email us at
customerservice@theperfectpony.net for an RMA number.  Refusal of a shipment or non-acceptance will be treated as an unauthorized return.  Unauthorized returns will be refused and returned to the sender.  You are responsible for return shipping charges and original shipping charges will not be refunded.  All sales are final on books, catalogs, clearance, Collector’s Corner and consignment items.

Non-Defective Returns
Non-Defective merchandise must be returned new, unopened and in original condition.  Customers requesting to return non-defective merchandise will receive a full refund of the purchase price less shipping charges.  Charges for special services (i.e. handpicking, visual inspection, etc) will NOT be refunded.  You may choose to receive cash back or credit for other merchandise.  If purchased with a credit card, refunds will be posted to your card.

Defective Returns
Periodically, items are damaged during shipping.  If this situation occurs, you must report this to us within 3 days of delivery.  We will file the necessary claim with the shipping service.  In order to file a claim, you must keep the original box in which the order was shipped and all packing material.  Depending on the shipping service, they may also require a picture of the damage and/or a written statement signed by the customer.  If you do not have the proper items for inspection by the shipping service, then The Perfect Pony nor the shipping service will be held liable for any damage.

Order Cancellation or Modification
Because orders are shipped next day, please notify us by email or phone right away if you need to cancel or modify your order after you submit it.  We will do our best to stop the order before it ships and modify it as directed.

Price Changes and Adjustments
Prices may fluctuate depending on manufacturer pricing, sales and special offers.  We have a 10-day price guarantee.  If you purchase an item and it goes on sale within 10 days, contact us and we will send you a refund or credit for the difference.  Price adjustments cannot be given on clearance items, Consignment items or Collector’s Corner items. 

Clearance, Collector’s Corner and Consignment Items
Sorry but we do not accept returns on clearance, Collector’s Corner or consignment items.  We will do our best to describe the condition of these items in detail so you can be confidant in your purchase because all sales are final on these items.

Back Orders
We try to carry the entire line of Traditional Size Breyer Model Horses in stock, but sometimes we do run out of stock or the manufacturer is back-ordered on certain items.  If an item in not in stock, we will indicate that on the website.  You can still order these items and we will do our best to fill your order in a timely manner.  

Pre-Sales
Sometimes Breyer introduces specialty items, holiday items and new & limited items each year that take a bit longer to produce.  The Perfect Pony does offer Pre-Sales on these items.  When placing an order for these items, please be sure to order them separately from in-stock items otherwise your in-stock items will be held for shipping until all Pre-Sale items ship.  When they arrive in stock, we will ship them out immediately and you will receive a shipping confirmation by email.  When paying for Pre-Sale items using Paypal or credit card, funds are transferred immediately.
